Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Design Team Call!

We've received some great entries so far! For those of you that are still working on your submissions we just wanted to remind you that you have until midnight PST on June 30th to submit your entries for our {SAS}sy Design Team positions! So just 1 more month…go ladies, go…keep ‘em coming!

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking {Design Team} Call
Closing Date of Call: June 30th, 2009

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is looking for designers to add to our team and we would be honored to add you as a key part of our team! As a design team member your primary role will be to help showcase our newest products. Our designer’s work is featured within our Creative Gallery as well as our Online Store, where products are ‘linked’ with your layouts. We are looking for individuals who are creative, committed to showing off your best work 110% of the time, passionate about scrapping, can comply with deadlines, and participate actively and positively on our message board. We are looking for designers to join the great group of ladies that already visit our site!

* (We are accepting international applicants this time. Due to the costs involved in shipping supplies overseas the designer will be responsible for the difference in shipping domestically and internationally. We apologize for the inconvenience and welcome you to become a part of the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Message Board as another option.)

Design Team member responsibilities include:
* Create a minimum of 6 - 12x12 unique and inspiring scrapbook layouts each month to display in our galleries. *8.5x11 layouts will also be accepted. Since your work will be linked to the products we sell we do ask that you use a certain number of supplies on each layout (i.e. – 3 or more papers, embellishments in clusters of 3 or more, etc).
* Agree to a 6 month commitment of August 1, 2009-January 31, 2010.
* Sign and return the Design Team contract. Failure to return or comply with the rules in the contract will result in termination from the team.
* Take well photographed pictures of your layouts, as well as closer images of details when possible.
* Actively promote Scrap Attack Scrapbooking on your blog and any other websites where rules allow.
* As a design team member you are an extension of our site so you will be expected to act in a professional manner both on our site and on other sites you visit.
* Upload your projects and link to products in our Online Store Gallery.
* Actively participate in the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Message Board.
* Moderate at least one bi-monthly challenge (includes creating sample projects).
* Help prepare for crops and events on the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Message Board.
* Communicate with the site owner regarding any absences or illnesses that may arise. If you are not able to honor the commitment or complete your assignments on time, please let me know.

If you feel you can not actively participate in our Message Board at this time, I would suggest waiting until you can fully make that commitment. While scrapbooking is the passion we all share, as a design team member you will also be asked to actively promote the store and the products we sell.

* Receive FREE monthly supplies (Retail value $35-45) at no cost to you. Scrap Attack Scrapbooking will pay the shipping and handling on your design team supplies. In return for supplies, we retain the right to display your work in our galleries after your term ends.
* An additional 15% off all purchases from the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking store during your team duration (15% off our already discounted 10% off prices = 25% off.) Orders shipped with your DT supplies will receive half priced shipping.

The Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Design Team will be chosen by the members of our current team and the store owner. When filling a design team we look for all types of scrapbooking styles so everyone is welcome to apply. Current and past design team members are eligible to reapply.

In order to apply for the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Design Team, submit the following by Midnight Pacific Time, June 30th, 2009 to
ScrapAttackDT@q.com. You may use any paper or embellishments that you would like, however no digital applicants please. Your projects should be 'new' and created for this design team call only and not posted anywhere else until the design team announcement is made. You may either email the images or attachments or upload them to your www.photobucket.com account and provide us with the links.

* 4 original, any size, brand new paper layouts.
* 1 altered project.

Also, please answer the following questions in your email:

1. How long have you been scrapbooking?
2. What is the main subject of your pages (kids, pets, inanimate objects, etc.)
3. How many products do you typically use on a layout? Of those, how many are patterned papers?
4. Will you be able to make at least 10 posts a day and start 3-5 discussions a week? If not, please explain why.
5. How do you plan to keep the message board active or what types of things could you bring to the site to keep the members happy and talking?
6. Define your scrapbook style (are you a vintage scrapbooker, traditional, etc.).
7. How many pictures do you normally scrapbook on a page? Are you open to adjusting your scrapbook style to accommodate the supplies you receive in a given month?
8. Are you comfortable stepping out of the box and trying new things? And do you feel comfortable sharing these ideas with other members by posting pictures and details on new techniques you tried?
9. Why do you feel you should be chosen to be a part of the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Design Team. I would love to hear your strengths as a scrapbooker and also what motivates you to create wonderful work.
10. Provide a list of current DT’s and Guest DT’s that you are on and any communities (message boards) in which you are active. Remember to include links and your usernames.
* Provide a link to any online galleries and scrapbook resumes you may have.

Any falsification of the above information will result in disqualification of your application.
